1. Lisbon Cathedral (Sé de Lisboa)
Distance from city center: 1.5 km | 10 minutes by tram
The Lisbon Cathedral, known as Sé de Lisboa, is one of the oldest and most significant religious buildings in the city. Located in the Alfama district, this Romanesque structure dates back to the 12th century and offers a glimpse into Lisbon’s medieval past.

- Monday to Saturday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Sunday: 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM
How to get there: From the city center (Baixa), take tram 28 towards Martim Moniz, which stops directly outside the cathedral. The journey takes approximately 10 minutes.
2. Jerónimos Monastery (Mosteiro dos Jerónimos)
Distance from city center: 7 km | 20 minutes by train
The Jerónimos Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is an architectural masterpiece and a symbol of Portugal’s Age of Discovery. Built in the 16th century, it is a prime example of Manueline style, with its ornate stone carvings and stunning cloisters.

How to get there: Take the suburban train from Cais do Sodré station towards Cascais and get off at Belém. The monastery is a short 5-minute walk from the station. The journey takes about 20 minutes from the city center.
3. São Jorge Castle (Castelo de São Jorge)
Distance from city center: 1.2 km | 15 minutes by bus
Perched atop one of Lisbon’s seven hills, São Jorge Castle offers breathtaking views of the city and the Tagus River. The castle, which dates back to the Moorish period, is a must-visit for history enthusiasts and those looking to capture panoramic photos of Lisbon.

4. Belém Tower (Torre de Belém)

How to get there: From Praça do Comércio in the city center, take tram 15E towards Algés and get off at the Belém stop. The tower is a 10-minute walk from the tram stop, and the entire journey takes approximately 25 minutes.
